About Hospira Bacteriostatic Water
Hospira bacteriostatic water is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol, a preservative that inhibits bacterial growth after the vial is first opened. In the lab it is a standard diluent for reconstituting freeze-dried peptides and other lyophilized materials, and the multi-dose vial can be drawn from more than once within its in-use period.
Each vial is sealed by the manufacturer and shipped from Oahu, Hawaii. Discard opened vials 30 days after first use.
For laboratory research use only.
